Yeah, the comic book movies are great and the pseudo-remakes are too, sometimes... but where is that innovative spirit? I think its missing in a lot of American pop culture these days, not only Hollywood. Toronto is the new New York. Post-modernism is the new modernism. Nothing is what it seems, everyone is jaded, and regarding movies, there are way too many these days to make them special anymore. It's just an industry pumping out flicks in every genre these days with repetitive, script-house plotlines.
